Known for his honesty, Manoj Dwivedi , has brought revolution in Health and Medical Education, it was not easy to remove Dr Yashpal Sharma from his favorite post “MD” JKMSCL. Despite having vigilance case against Dr Yashpal and other in purchase of spurious drug during his first inning, Sharma convinced the then Principal Secretary H&ME and managed to favourite post April 2020.
Principal Secretary GAD and Health & Medical Education Department (H&ME) Manoj Kumar Dwivedi today removed Dr Yash Pal Sharma from Managing Director (MD) J&K Medical Supplies Corp. Ltd (JKMSCL) and Joint Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) posted as new boss of the corporation.
“In the interest of administration Pankaj Gupta, Joint Commissioner JMC, is transferred and posted as Managing Director JKMSCL. Rimpy Ohri awaiting order of adjustment in GAD is posted as joint commissioner, JMC”, Govt order no. 807-JK(GAD) of 2022, dated 08/07/2022 read.
However, the government has not ordered further posting of Dr Yash Pal Sharma, who has been removed from the post of MD JKMSCL. “In Medical Education, particularly in GMC Jammu Dr Yaspal Sharma can be posted as Medical Superintendent or Registrar Academic”, sources informed, adding that the officer who is holding the charge of MS GMC, does not have qualification for the post.
“The incumbent, MS GMC Jammu Dr ADS Manhas was brought to handle the crises during COVID pandemic. He performed well and got State Award. But since, he is not eligible for the post, Dr Yashpal Sharma should be posted as MS, and Dr Manhas should be sent back to Health department for further posting who will be superannuating from service after three months”, they added. Recently, implementing Court’s direction, the H&ME department extended benefits of SRO 266 of 2014, dated 30/08/2014 in favour of three doctors including Dr Yash Pal Sharma. In pursuance of the directions passed by the Hon’ble High Court, UT of Jammu& Kashmir and Ladakh in CCP(S) No.623/2021 in WPIC) No. 581/2021 dated 11/01/2022 titled Dr. Nazir Hussain Choudhary V/S Vivek Bharadwaj & Ors, CCR(S) No. 51/2022 in WP© No. 319/2021 dated 03.03.2022 titled Dr. Waseem Qureshi V/S Vivek Bharadwaj & Ors and CCP (S) No. 217/2022 WPO No. 361/2022 dated 03.03.2022 titled Dr. Yashpal Sharma V/S U.T of Jammu & Kashmir and Ors”, sanction is hereby accorded to the extension of the benefits in terms of SRO-26 dated 19.01.2015 read with SRO 266 of 2014 dated 30.08.2014,in favour of above named doctors.
