Says JKP, NIA; SIA other agencies work together to dismantle narco empire in J&K. IGP Jammu Anand Jain also warns of strict action against drug peddlers

The Director General of J&K Police, R R Swain vociferously warned the drug peddlers that their houses, land, and even ancestral land would go if they failed to mend their ways, meaning thereby do away with the fatal drug consumption which has become the cause of concern. We would not budge an inch rather desperate to take action against the drug peddlers.

The DGP warned the drug peddlers while addressing the media persons at PHQ headquarters in Srinagar. “Brown Sugar, cocaine and heroine which came from outside that is very much poisonous” DGP RR Swain lamented adding, that sale dealers who mint crores of rupees from this supply of drugs would be taken to task. Narcotics came from outside and prior there was the usage of charas at the local level that was not fatal. Still, now it’s hazardous because there has been a supply of heroin, cocaine, and narcotics from outside which earn crores of rupees through its supply” he maintained.

He said that this way of supplying drugs so that killing of the humans takes place is really condemnable and we would take stern action against these drug cartels. “Whosoever involved in this heinous drugs be it police officials, security establishment or in the society meaning thereby facilitated the supply of the drugs they would be taken to task if we get the evidence of the same ” DGP RR Swain categorically stated. Those who think that by earning illegal money through the means of drugs they would build palatial bungalows, and buy cars they required to remember that we will take action against them sternly so that it would act as a deterrent, DGP further warned the drug peddlers.

Those who are small dealers won’t be touched right now, rather our aim first is to deal sternly against those wholesalers who earned crores of rupees from this trade. From the income tax department to the enforcement Directorate to NIA to Police officials to SIA all power would collected together against these people. We want to end or you can say destroy the module that is a network of drugs so that the message spread that through the mode of narcotics they have built upon the stately houses, buy luxurious cars, and go outside by earning crores of rupees, DGP RR Swain vehemently stated. Meanwhile, IGP Jammu Anand Jain taking to the media in Jammu said that the timely action against the drug peddlers coupled with cooperation of the public at large in order to deal with the drugs which has become a curse in society.

IGP made these remarks while attending the program of Diwali Milan at Reasi, Accompanied by DIG Udhampur-Reasi range Suleman Choudhary and other police officers. Even the intelligentsia class of the society is also present. “Through the cooperation of the public things would become easy to do as such we need the support of the public so that we could achieve success in our mission to deal sternly against the drugs”, IGP Jammu added. IGP Jammu enjoined and impressed upon the youths to participate in sports adding, as he termed what we called it as constructive sports activity so that youths excel in sports and don’t fall prey to the fatal drugs. “Even I request the people of Reasi that if they found any loophole in our police functioning they would apprise without any fail rather we would look into” IGP Anand Jain lamented. Finally I conclude my address by saying that we need to strengthen police – Public relations which would surely go a long way in curbing the menace of drugs.
