Due to repairing and maintenance works at several locations, Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been declared as “Traffic Dry Day” on June 23, by the authorities.
According to SSP Traffic NHW Ramban Rohit Baskotra, Friday, June 23, has been declared as “Traffic Dry Day” on NH-44 between Chenani Nashri Tunnel to Navyoga Tunnel Banihal.
“Traffic Dry Day on NH-44 for Repairs and Maintenance, in reference to Public Works (R&B) Department Civil Secretariat Jammu/Srinagar Letter No.PWD-PLNG/14/2021/05 Dated. 13.06.2023 wherein directions have been passed by J&K UT Government for undertaking important repair and maintenance works on NH-44 by NHAI”, a press communique issued by SSP Traffic NHW, reads.
“23th June-2023(Friday) has been declared as “Traffic Dry Day” on NH-44 between Chenani Nashri Tunnel to Navyoga Tunnel Banihal. People are requested to adhere to the traffic advisory. No LMV or HMV (Except medical emergency vehicles) will be allowed to ply on NH-44 between Nashri Tunnel-Navyuga Tunnel and Vice-Versa from 6 AM on 23rd June-2023 till 6 AM on 24th June-2023”, official communique reads.
