The Government emphasis on cleanliness drive seems to be falling on deaf ears within his own administration with key government buildings like Udyog Bhawan, Bahu Plaza Jammu setting a bad example.
The buildings housing more than 10 government offices, are in a pathetic condition. Toilets there are stinking, staircases are full of garbage. But the officials of department looking after maintenance have found no time to address the issue despite the matter being raised by different offices located there.
The toilets are also stinking. A number of employees said they suffered UTI infections after using the washrooms of the office building and some said they have to go searching for nearby toilet facilities.
One of the officers on basis of anonymity said due to internal issue between departments regarding maintenance of whole building we are suffering and no one is ready to listen and solve the problems of employees. One of the employees said when you can’t provide us the basic facility of toilet how you expect us to work for full office hours.
Toilet Ek Samasya’ For Women Employees in Udyog Bhawan said one of female official and Lack of clean washroom facility for women come out as a major complaint by many female employees The employees of the various departments have requested LG administration to look into the matter and department responsible for all this should be dealt strictly with immediate action.
