The recent shocking incident occurred on the fateful day when the high speeding truck mowed down Special Police Official (SPO) Rajat Choudhary, when his marriage was going to happened in the Month of February 2023.
The Braveheart lost his live while performing his duty at a very dangerous point at Narwal bypass on November 16 and a pall of gloom descended on the family members due to the death of their beloved one. This news has left the Family in distress and mental trauma as they lost their bread earner in his advanced age.
These Police Jawans who manning the different nakas (check post) across the UT of Jammu and Kashmir remain prone to danger in terms of being mowed down by the high-speed commuters adding, as on different nakas seen that these Jawans standing along-side with barricades and drums there in and these worn-out iron drums notwithstanding the weight of collision in case of accidents as such these Jawans guarding the nakas under grave threat to their life. This is not such secluded incident which happened where in Jawans lost his life. Reports revealed that in Bikram Chowk also and in other areas also these Jawans being suffered injuries on account of manning the Nakas. Even Jawans under depression working under extreme mitigating circumstances adding, given the areas of installation of nakas and these Jawans are performing their duties with due dedication and devotion in order to foil the nefarious designs of miscreants who remain in search to vitiate the communal harmony. A retired Police Officer rued that the SPOS performing their duties in very extreme circumstances while manning their duties on different nakas installations. Sooner the government acts the better it would be.
