In a meeting United Nations Security Council, all the 15 members has opposed any military takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban.
In the meeting held under the Indian Presidency on Friday, the member countries warned that the world will never accept the government forcibly imposed by the Taliban in Afghanistan. The meeting was held to discuss the situation in Afghanistan. The UN Secretary General’s special representative while giving a briefing on the situation in Afghanistan said that the country has reached a “dangerous turning point”. In the meeting, India called for the dismantling of terror safe havens and sanctuaries in Pakistan.
