The work in the Jammu High court and district courts resumed today after about fifty one days of strike by the Jammu bar Association in support of their demands. Due to the resumption of work lawyers appeared in the courts and very hustle bustle came in the courts.
It is pertinent to mention here in that lawyers adopted a agitational path due to the non fulfillment of their genuine demands of housing different courts in Multi story complex of Janipur.
On 28th day of August 2022 Bar Association Members met Honble Chief Justice and Chief Justice after hearing the grievances projected by the Bar Association assured to take up the matter with the LG administration of housing different courts in Multi story complex Janipur.
Even Honble Judges also intervened regarding the agitation of the Lawyers fraternity and they told the Bar Association to temporarily calls of the strike till then Chief Justice would take up the matter with the LG administration.
Even Bar President Jammu stated that our agitation would continue and none can detract us from our struggle adding, we suspended the strike for few days just to watch as to whether any needful be done in the days to come as such we temporarily suspended the strike.
It is out of place to mention here in post abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35- A several courts shifted from the Jammu courts like wise tribunals, commissions and service matters that is CAT and now the Bar Association agitating demanding courts be housed in Single Multi dimensional complex Janipur forth with so that Lawyers fraternity in particular and litigants in general don’t face insurmountable hardships which they are confronting on account of shifting of court’s.
