The Young Lawyers Association ( YLA) moved a representation to chairman public service Commission and controller Examination seeking the redressal of their genuine grievances meaning there by that In paper 2 of the Prosecuting officer that is CSAT paper was of higher level then matriculation which the JKPSC prescribed in the syllabus and which left the PO aspirants to suffer on account of CSAT paper as the Aspirants fumed when they saw the CSAT paper being of much higher level as that of bank exams.
Young Lawyers Association said in the representation that about 3200 Aspirants had given the PO exam and as per the criteria fixed by the JKPSC of one by third then 1100 aspirants will be sit in the Main exams. But given the CSAT paper level which made the PO aspirants aghast as they could not able to qualify this paper and resultant there in PAPER one will also not get checked.
“As in PO there is requirement of legal knowledge but the way CSAT paper set by the JKPSC which is totally contrast for the reasons that the questions asked in the CSAT paper was of banking nature” reads the contents of the representation.
Representation further reads that as per the JKPSC tentative date of notification of PO exam it has been specifically mentioned by the JKPSC that admit cards of the PO aspirants will be uploaded two weeks the commencement of the Preliminary examination but the fact of the matter is that week prior JKPSC that is on 22nd January 2023 uploaded the admit cards of the PO exam which is a flagrant violation of rules of the JKPSC, representation reads.
It is pertinent to mention here in that JKPSC vide it’s notification No 24 PSC (DR-P) advertised 120 posts of Prosecuting officer and this PO exam being held in three forms first preliminary, second Mains and then Viva. Preliminary paper one consists of 200 marks and paper 200 Marks.
Young Lawyers Association making a fervent and passionate appeal to the JKPSC Chairman to allow all the PO Aspirants who write the exam to sit in Mains exam and if not then conduct the Preliminary exams afresh.
