In continuation to the anti-encroachment drive, the District Administration Jammu today retrieved prime state land measuring 5 kanal 02 marlas at village Deeli during an eviction cum demolition drive. The state land was encroached on by a prominent media house and businessman which was retrieved by the administration. The boundary walls of the encroached land were demolished and a state land board was also installed on the site.
In another anti-encroachment drive, the district administration retrieved state land measuring 100 kanal at the village Palwan, Akhnoor. Similarly, revenue officers along with police and other concerned officials retrieved prime state land measuring 23 kanal 13 marlas in village Partap Singh Pura Tehsil Bishnah. A state land board was also installed on the retrieved land during the eviction drive.
Meanwhile, as a part of its efforts to vacate state Land from the illegal occupants, the District Administration Rajouri has launched a massive anti-encroachment drive in all tehsils of the district and retrieved over 102 kanal of state land today. As per the eviction plan and on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, regular anti-encroachment drives are being conducted in the district to retrieve the state land. During the day-long drive, Tehsildar Teryath retrieved 50 Kanal of prime state land in Jungrail; Tehsildar Berripattan retrieved 12 kanal of state land in Village Sayal, while 40 kanal lands was reclaimed in Village Choki Handan of Nowshera Tehsil. Besides, Tehsildar Sunderbani removed the encroachment on NH144 A and handed over the land to BRO for a road extension.
Kathua Administration retrieves 494 kanal, 19 marlas state land
As part of its efforts to retrieve state Land from the illegal occupants, the District Administration Kathua has launched a massive anti-encroachment drive across all Tehsils of the district and retrieved over 126029 Kanal and 08 Marlas of land so far. As per the eviction plan and on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kathua, regular Anti-Encroachment drives are being conducted in the district to retrieve the state land. The State land retrieved today includes 127 Kanal 05 Marlas in Hiranagar, 194 kanal, 15 marlas in Marheen, 57 kanals, 11 marlas in Dinga Amb, 27 kanals, 07 marlas in Basohli, 29 Kanal, 13 Marlas in Lohai Malhar, 56 Kanals, 15 Marlas in Mahanpur, 01 Kanals, and 13 Marlas in Nagri Parole. The district administration is continuing its efforts to take stern action against all the illegal occupants.
