Being high reaches region, area three Tehsil could not be electrified till date, or in other words successive Kashmir centric governments had taken much pain to develop the area. Despite, officially being part of the Jammu division, culturally the region is very close and even part of the Kashmir, but unfortunately, Kashmiri leadership always discriminated with the region, like other parts of Jammu division. The residents demanded that UT as well the Union Government should open the door of development of the region, which remained closed since 1947 to till date. “We have hospitals and doctors at both towns, Warwan and Marwah, but without electricity, this infrastructure of no use. As in case of medical emergency people are airlifted from Warwan or Marwah to Kishtwar or Anantnag, the airlifting is also depending on weather condition”, they said. There mobile towers for communication, but both are defunct without electricity. “We cannot contact anybody in case of any emergency, as the mobile towers do not work most of the time”, they further added.
