In a development stirring political circles, a video has surfaced on social media allegedly showing Sunil Raina, brother of BJP State President Ravinder Raina, engaged in what is claimed to be election campaigning in the Nowshera constituency.
Sunil Raina, an officer in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), is seen in the video along with five or six others, sparking debates and raising questions about the nature of the gathering.
The circulation of this video has ignited concerns over a potential violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), which strictly prohibits government officials from participating in political gatherings or publicly supporting any political party or candidate.
The MCC is designed to ensure the neutrality of government employees during elections, safeguarding the integrity of the electoral process. Given Sunil Raina’s position as an SSB officer, his alleged involvement in what some claim to be a political gathering has raised eyebrows, with critics arguing that such actions could undermine the principles laid out by the MCC.

Notably, none of the people in the video are seen carrying any flags or materials associated with a political party. Even the vehicle in which Sunil Raina is seated, avoiding the person filming the scene, is devoid of any political insignia or paraphernalia.
Despite the allegations circulating on social media suggesting that the group was campaigning for Ravinder Raina, the lack of overt political symbols in the video leaves the claims unsubstantiated. As of now, both the BJP and the civil administration have yet to issue a response to the video’s circulation.
The incident has led to mixed reactions, with some questioning the motives behind the video and others demanding clarity on the involvement of security personnel in political activities. The situation remains fluid, and further developments are expected as the authorities and political parties respond to the growing speculation.
