In a strongly worded statement released on social media platform X, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) has vehemently refuted claims of engaging in clandestine negotiations with political entities outside the INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) Bloc.
The party’s official X account posted a statement addressing what they termed “unfounded rumours” circulating about their alleged involvement in “back channel” talks. The JKNC’s response comes amidst growing speculation in political circles about potential realignments ahead of upcoming elections.
“JKNC categorically denies the unfounded rumours of ‘back channel’ talks with any party outside the INDIA Bloc,” the statement declared, setting a firm tone against the accusations. The party went on to suggest that these allegations were politically motivated, stating, “Those sensing their impending defeat have resorted to spreading such baseless accusations.”
The JKNC, a key player in Jammu and Kashmir’s political landscape, has been a consistent member of the INDIA Bloc, a coalition of opposition parties formed to challenge the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in national elections.
