Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today visited the District Hospital Kheora to know about the condition of passengers injured in the Thanamandi road accident.
The accident resulted in the death of four passengers and left eight others critically injured.
According to police, the accident occurred in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday when an Eeco vehicle carrying twelve passengers fell into a deep gorge on Thanamandi-Bhangai road. Three passengers died on the spot, while one more succumbed to injuries at sub-district hospital Thanamandi.
During his visit to the hospital, Vikas Kundal interacted with the injured passengers and enquired about their well-being. He also directed the hospital authorities to provide all necessary medical assistance to the injured passengers. The Deputy Commissioner expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased passengers and assured them of all possible support from the district administration. He also urged the concerned authorities to investigate the cause of the accident and take necessary measures to prevent such mishaps in the future.
