Drugs have become the intending threat across the Union territory of Jammu. To deal with the drugs we need to take coercive actions and it’s the police off course who have to play a pivotal role against these drugs mafia who are leaving no stone unturned to destroy our youths. Youths are future of our country as such they should not be wean away or get astray from the right path and get addicted to the drugs. Rather it has become a challenge for the Jammu and Kashmir police as how to dealt sternly with the drugs.
There are several campaign and drives launched by the Police to sensitize the masses about effects of drugs. Police day in and day out seen seized different drugs and arrested the accused persons also in this regard which is a laudable step on the part of the police after all it’s the Police who has to tighten the noose of these drugs mafia so that they can’t succeed in their nefarious designs. It is pertinent to mention here in that there is stringent act which have been invoked by the parliament NDPS (Narcotics drugs Phycotrophic substances) 1985 with a motoo to acts as a deterrent against the drugs mafia.
“We have seen that recovery of the drugs by the police are of meagre quantity which is quite astonished for the reason that when drugs have spread its tentacles to the different areas as such recovery of the drugs should have much more” Advocate Ishant lamented adding, Police should steadfast and proactive in its approach to dealt sternly against the drugs because this drugs have spoiled our youths who have to become bread earner of their family. He shared his invaluable insights in drugs divulged that it has been observed that youths administered drugs in their veins adding, which is grave threat to counter the same for the society as, well as for the police to dealt with. There are instances where we found youths can’t live without consuming drugs as so much addicted they become due to these drugs.
He even questioned the Police that when Police came to know about the drugs consumption areas they should do continue patrolling of the same rather indulged into conducting drives. The moot question from where these drugs came? Why not the place or the areas from where these drugs came be plugged off? If those drugs manufactured areas being plugged off then surely it would resulted in less impact of the drugs on the youths for the reason when there is much more drugs same would be easily available to disburse amongst the society targeting the Youths.
Hidden News contacted the SP South Jammu yesterday to take her version as how the police is curbing the menace of drugs. But when the Hidden News made call to the SP South she after listened to the query, said she will call herself. Even after waited for the call not came, then today Hidden News again contacted her but she not responded. Hidden News then left with no other option then to made call to superior Officer DIG Jammu Samba Kathua range to take his version on drugs which have become a potential threat in the society. Despite repeated attempts, DIG Shakti Pathak couldn’t be contacted for his official version.
However, the Jammu Police have , “ammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace. We request people of the area to come forward and share information about drug peddling or consumption on 9086100100 or 100 with Police for the cause. Your identity will be kept” these words to counter Narcoterorism in J&K, which nobody will believe, because, Jaan Hai Toh Jahan Hai.
