The Pink Patrol teams will be stationed at various crucial and densely populated locations across Jammu city to ensure the safety and security of women and girls. Their primary focus will be to address incidents of crimes against women, particularly instances of eve-teasing.
The ADGP highlighted that the Pink Patrol aims to instill confidence among the women and girls students of Jammu District. Dr. Sunil Gupta, IPS, DIG of JKS Range, Dr. Vinod Kumar, SSP of Jammu, Ajay Sharma, SP South, Shivam Sidharth, SP North, Brijesh Sharma, SP Rural, and several other police officers, as well as representatives from various sectors actively involved in women’s welfare, such as the One-Stop Centre, Women Helpline, and Children Welfare Committee, graced the occasion.
