The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, alongside DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Rayees Mohammad Bhat, inaugurated the newly constructed Police Station Ransoo.
This inauguration, a significant milestone in law enforcement infrastructure development, underscores the commitment of the police force to enhancing security and response capabilities in the region.
Accompanied by SSP Reasi, Ms. Mohita Sharma, and her team of officers, ADGP Anand Jain conducted a thorough assessment of security arrangements for the annual pilgrimage to the revered Shivkhori Shrine. Discussions centered on ensuring robust security measures and effective management of the influx of devotees during the pilgrimage.
Stringent directives were issued to conduct comprehensive checks on all suspected individuals to prevent any potential security threats. Joint long-range patrols by Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were initiated round the clock in the entire area of Ransoo and its surroundings to bolster security.
ADGP Anand Jain emphasized the importance of frequent verification and census of migrants in and around Reasi town, as well as the need for thorough scrutiny of character antecedents of pony porters and other individuals entering the town to identify any suspicious elements.
The inauguration of Police Station Ransoo signifies a significant step towards enhancing police presence and response capabilities in the area. Strategically located, the modern facility aims to ensure prompt assistance to the local community, further strengthening law enforcement infrastructure.
During his visit, ADGP Jammu also inspected Police Station Pouni, where he checked records and briefed personnel on their duties. Additionally, visits to PP Bhambla and Police Station Reasi were conducted, with directives issued to all SHOs and police officials regarding the efficient disposal of crimes, maintaining good public relations, proper record-keeping, effective operation of CCTN, and vigilance over Anti-National Elements (ANEs).
The thorough assessment and inauguration conducted by ADGP Anand Jain underscore the proactive approach of law enforcement agencies in ensuring the safety and security of citizens in the region, particularly during significant events such as the pilgrimage to Shivkhori Shrine.
