The party has declared renowned J&K High Court Advocate Ankur Sharma, who also serves as the National President of Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal, as its candidate from the Jammu Lok Sabha constituency. Meanwhile, known social activist from Bhaderwah, Manoj Padha, has been finalized for the Udhampur-Kathua Lok Sabha seat.
Addressing a press conference today at Jammu, Advocate Ankur Sharma informed the public, “The party has been assigned the ‘Bansuri/Flute’ as its common election symbol. All the party’s candidates will contest on this symbol.”
Sharma stated, “Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal, formerly known as the IkkJutt Jammu Party, is a political vehicle working tirelessly for the political empowerment of Jammu Province. The party has previously raised its voice and won battles against what it perceives as Kashmiri hegemony.” “The party finds its origin in Jammu Province and is hence a local, ideological, and natural political option for the people of the region. Its declared political objective is the liberation and political empowerment of Jammu Province,” Sharma added. The Ankur has been associated with various high-profile cases, including “exposing a 25,000 crore land scam, seeking a CBI inquiry into the Rassana case, and dismantling the controversial Roshni Act, which I claim was anti-Jammu and anti-national,” he said. He has also raised his voice against what he calls the “Demographic Invasion of Jammu and Hindu Genocide.”
Sharma emphasized, “The party is committed to addressing the issues faced by daily wagers, need-based workers, VDCs, SPOs, VDGCs, cooks in schools, ASHA workers, Rehbar-e-Khel, NYCs, contractual workers, MGNREGA employees, seasonal teachers, 10+2 lecturers, and all other ad-hoc and non-permanent employees.” He pledged that the party would use all legal and political means to ensure their regularization and the release of pending salaries, as well as the grant of a decent salary structure on par with permanent employees.
Sharma appealed to the general public of Jammu Province, stating, “Support Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections with your votes. Every vote cast in favor of the party would be an answer to those political parties who mock and deride the people of Jammu Province by questioning their alternatives. Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal is that option.”
