In an inspiring address to nearly a thousand freshly recruited Sub-Inspectors and around 60 probationary Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSsP) undergoing training at the Corps Battle School (CBS) in Bhalra, Bhaderwah, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir, R.R Swain, emphasized the immense pride and privilege associated with serving the nation in uniform.

Swain highlighted the unique opportunity bestowed upon the trainees, having been selected from tens of thousands of aspirants. He urged them to embrace the spirit of continuous learning, stressing that in today’s rapidly evolving world, driven by societal changes and technological advancements, those who eagerly seek knowledge and growth will surge ahead.

The DGP emphasized that individuals are primarily evaluated based on three factors: intention, hard work, and ability. While the first two can be controlled, the third is partly God-given. However, he encouraged the trainees to harness their drive and strive to learn, as the training at CBS, facilitated by the Indian Army, presents an exceptional opportunity to enhance their capabilities.

Expressing gratitude to the Commandant of CBS, Col. Praveen Kumar, and his dedicated instructors, Swain commended the state-of-the-art training facilities and methodologies. He expressed hope that this collaborative endeavor would elevate the synergy between security and law enforcement agencies, serving the interests of ‘Mother India.’

Swain appreciated the efforts of officers responsible for coordinating and curating the tailored training program, including Director SKPA Udhampur Garib Dass, DIG Training Sarah Rizvi, Principal of CTC Lethpora Tanveer Jeelani, and Deputy Director SKPA Rajesh Bali. He commended their remarkable proactive efforts in supplementing the Army’s initiatives with additional logistics and instructors, aiming to transform the trainees into proud police officers capable of earning the community’s trust as defenders against lawbreakers and threats to national security.

The DGP, accompanied by ADGP Jammu Anand Jain, was received and seen off by Range DIG Shridhar Patil, district SSP Javaid Mir, CO IRP 5 Bn Shri Gh Jeelani Wani, and other local police officers
