In a significant breakthrough, the Samba Police Station Bari Brahmana, under the guidance of SSP Samba Vinay Sharma, has arrested a notorious criminal wanted in several cases involving murder, illegal possession of weapons, attempted murder, and rioting.
The arrested individual has been identified as Gulab Din alias Gaia, son of Mureed Ali, a resident of Sarore Adda, Bari Brahmana. He was a fugitive and had been absconding from the law for quite some time. According to the police, Gulab Din was accused in FIR No. 238/2023 of Police Station Bari Brahmana and FIR No. 77/2021 of Police Station Arnia, in which he was wanted for a triple murder case. The officials of Police Station Bari Brahmana had been continuously making efforts to apprehend him.
In a well-coordinated operation led by SDPO Bari Brahmana Mukund Tibrewal, a team comprising PSI Vivek Singh, Sgct Shyam Sunder Sharma, and SHO Bari Brahmana Sumeet Sharma successfully apprehended the wanted criminal. This arrest sends a strong message to anti-social elements that the Samba Police will not tolerate any criminal activity within the district. SSP Samba Vinay Sharma reiterated the police’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the citizens. The apprehension of Gulab Din alias Gaia is expected to have a significant impact on curbing criminal activities in the region.
