Bakshi Nagar Puli-Muthi stretch in deplorable condition, awaits maintenance
The much-awaited Jammu-Akhnoor four-laning project likely to miss another deadline as works are going on snail’s pace.
The four-laning of the 30-KM road stretch was part of PM’s Development Package announced in 2015. Works on this project was started in October 2018. Apart delay on construction of pillars for flyover between Canal head to Muthi, the construction of four-laning between Canal head to Akhnoor is going very slow pace. Even, the construction company seems fail on all components of the project. The works drainage lane has abandoned, all the factors are contributing in missing deadlines of the project. As per the terms and conditions of the contract, during the widening works, the concerned firms has to maintain the road for smooth and un-interrupted movement of the vehicles. But, unfortunately due to ill maintenance road users face difficulty.
