Additional Director General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar stated that it’s not a intelligence failure rather it’s a mistake, when posed a query by the media persons in Kashmir as what we called to the recent conman of Gujrat who hoodwinked the Administration of Jammu and Kashmir. Talking to the media persons on the sidelines of the 71st BN Mullik Football championship here at Kashmir. On being asked that there are categorical instructions of Ministry of Home affairs (MHA) that on verbal instructions security should not be given to anyone, ADGP categorically replied these instructions are already in vogue adding, instructions used to come and he quick to add that police needs that they should not rely on the verbal instructions. Whosoever involved in this goof up will not be spared” ADGP maintained. To a query, What we say to this major fiasco, ADGP said “It’s not a intelligence failure rather it’s a mistake” he lamented.
When asked that there has been unprecedented increase in the crime rate, ADGP vociferously divulged by stating that there has been increase in the crime but the fact of the matter is that prior crime was hide adding, prior incidents of crime not reported but as of now people reposed faith on the Police and the public reported the matter to the Police. We are laying much emphasis on the social crimes and we advocated much on the Police stations “he asserted.
Asked about the fate of investigation conducted so far in the conman case and How many have been indicted so far in this case, ADGP vehemently said on 2nd police came to know about this conman and headed by the IPS officer raided the hotel and caught red handed this conman coupled with also recovered fake visiting cards and we have arrested him. He was on 14 days police remand and now in Judicial remand. Our investigation is going on continuously and we are in touch with Gujrat Police. No one will be spread categorically said.
