Earthquake which rattled the Chenab valley and other areas yesterday has raised concerns in regards to whether our administration of Jammu and Kashmir is well prepared to dealt with the unforeseen events.
As Earthquake can’t be predicted well in advance but given the UT of Jammu and Kashmir falls under the seismic zone IV and V there is dire need for the government to be prepared to dealt with in extreme exigencies of Earthquake so that on account of Earthquake government takes measures to minimized the losses. Recent Earthquake set the Alarms bells ringing that not major loss of life and property reported. Given the threat of earthquake looming large in this Chenab valley as such the government should be well equipped with men and machinery so that every effort be made to install a security amongst the masses that the administration well equipped.
It is out of place to mention here in that In Earthquake there takes place major devastation when the intensity of the earthquake is at higher scale. So in that eventuality government should be ready with the basic infrastructure and paraphernalia to deal with such extreme situation. Sooner the government acts the better it would be given the damaged occurred on account of these Earthquake. Whenever earthquake occurred it created fear amongst the masses as they feel insecure as what would happened next. Infront of Almighty power no one can succeed rather we pray to Almighty that Earthquake can’t come.
Even the contingency funds being provided to the government so that on occasion of the unforeseen events same be put to use. As our administration working under the LG rule as such it should be well equipped with all the resources to deal with the Earthquake. There is dire need for higher ups in the LG administration to come forward and inspire the Confidence of the public at large given the recurring earthquake tremors taking place in Chenab valley particularly. Sensing the gravity of the situation, Even the Doda administration ordered the closure of all the educational institutions in the Doda district on account of earthquake.
