Slogan of providing ample opportunities to the educated unemployed youth has proved hoax with state Administration showing poor performance on the front of recruiting large number of educated youth in JK Union Territory.
This was disclosed by Dr Vikas Sharma, Secretary Central Zone J&K National Conference and Coordinator Jammu District Urban and pointed out that as against 26303 identified posts since 2019, only 2100 posts have been filled up, which is even not 8 percent of the target fixed for achievement. Snubbing the state Government for its slow pace of providing employment, Dr. Vikas said that loose control of state administration on an important front of expediting recruiting manifests its lack of will vis-a-viz its determination to provide employment to youth on a war footings.R eferring to statement of the Government in the Parliament taking rounds in media reports, Dr Vikas reiterated that 26303 posts were identified in the erstwhile state since 2019, but a total of 841 appointments were made in 2020-2021 and 1264 were hired in the year 2021-2022.
He said that as per reports, out of 20323 posts advertised by JK Service Recruitment Board since 2020, selection process has been completed for 9205 posts while rest of more than 11 thousands are still lying vacant with unemployed youth are on the roads protesting and languishing for quick recruitment by the JK Government.Slamming the anti youth policy of state Government to push educated unemployed young generation to darkness , Dr Vikas said that instead of referring more posts to recruitment agencies and quickening the process of recruitment, JK Government cancelled the posts of various cadres en-masse that were advertised post October 2019. This has created great resentment amongst youth against hypocritical approach of LG administration.
Dr. Vikas cautioned the LG Administration to expedite the process of recruitment on war footings and any further delay in this context would aggregate the resentment smoldering in their mind.
