The events of 5th August 2019 are incomplete till Jammu gets its due rights, a separate statehood for the always neglected region, by reorganising erstwhile state of J&K and dividing Kashmir into two UTs and granting separate state to Jammu with complete statehood status, this was stated by, Advocate Ankur Sharma, president of IkkJutt Jammu Party (IJP), said on Thursday.
On the eve of completion of three years since the abrogation of Article 370 & 35-A, were rooted out of Indian constitution, Ankur said, “The events of August 5th, 2019 as half-hearted and incomplete till Jammu is made a Separate State with full benefits of statehood restored.”
“Absolutely nothing has changed for people of Jammu region as far as their political empowerment is concerned. The natural consequence of abrogation of Article 370 & 35 A should have been shifting of power centre from Kashmir to Jammu”, Ankur said, adding that instead, not only Kashmir continues to enjoy political patronage from New Delhi but is so brazen that Jammu is further relegated to a new low.
“This stems from the fact that delimitation conducted on fudged census of has failed to equitably distribute seats to Jammu province which is far bigger in terms of area, that too with arduous topography” IJP Chief said and added that on the other hand people of Jammu region, especially youth, are on roads for last three years demanding jobs with fair selection.
“Same is the case with daily wagers. Even local industrialists are left to watch major national & international investors flying to Kashmir with full connivance of JKUT administration”, he added.
Reiterating the core ideological position of IkkJutt Jammu Party, Sharma once again stated the geo-strategic need of separating Jammu from Kashmir so that Islamic terror infested Jihad be checked from spilling over to this region and to avoid repetition of physical & cultural genocide unleashed upon Hindus of Kashmir in ‘89-90. “The demographic invasion in majorly four districts of Jammu, Samba, Kathua and Udhampur will only see a process of reversal once Jammu is made a Separate State,” he added.
Ankur Sharma who is fighting for Jammu’s cause since his student life, urged the central government led by PM Narendra Modi to once again reorganise erstwhile State of Jammu & Kashmir by dividing Kashmir into two UTs and granting Separate State to Jammu with complete Statehood status.
