Today the 21st of August is Senior Citizens Say, and this day is celebrated across the globe. Those who are above sixty-five years of age they be considered as Senior Citizens as per the Indian law. In several families are elders like parents and grandparents, and are important part of our life. There are scores of families which we found they kicked their elders ones from their houses at the grey days of their lives and these gullible senior citizens at their old age left with no other option then to take refuge at the old aged home at Ambphalla and other places outside of Jammu. This is really distressing and shocking affairs that these children forget that in their infancy stage of their life when they just born from the womb of their mother’s till, they attained maturity they are being taken care of by their same parents who now you kicked them out to take them shelter at old aged home. This is a moot question to all those children’s who kicked their parents, grandparents and without bothered as to what are blunder, they kick them as they deprived of their love, their blessings which are of utmost importance in one’s life to achieve great heights in their lives. But alas! who would understand all these important things which needed to be remembered till last breath of human beings.
As there is a popular saying persons if deprived of something he / she would get it but with the passage of time but remember and ponder upon with introspection that everything you get in your life but you don’t get that happiness in the life in comparison to the love which you get from your parents meaning thereby that parents in this world are really a gem which the children’s have as their unprecedented care, love and dedication for their children are flawless.
Whether on Senior Citizens Day our duty is just to do message to show that we remember and love them by showcasing the same or we have duty much more than that, Answer to this is that Our obligations are that the way our parents maintained us and made us independent as such now in their grey days of their life it’s our obligations that we should take care of them of all things and also at their beck and call.
What we observed that there are several instances where by When daughter in law came it become a bone of contention means that it creates separation between his husband and her in mother and father in laws. Here in we can’t hold the daughter in law wholly solely responsible for all creating division in the relationship rather husband is required that he should opposed her wife move who resorting to that we needed to live separately from her mother father law. Not every daughter in law is wrong and not every husband is wrong but there erupted a difference in the relationship of husband and wife’s then the husbands in order to live a life free from creating any division in his relationship tried to get separated from his parent’s.
If one visits the old aged home Ambphalla where in these aggrieved, dejected and hapless senior citizens they narrated the woeful tale which they confronted at the hands of their children’s that they cursed their luck that in these hard days of their life when they needed their support, they are being left to fend for themselves. These Senior citizens weep bitterly while recalling the nightmarish experience which they encountering at the Old aged homes.
What wrong we did that our children’s kicked us out, the senior citizens in mental trauma said their woes further worsened as they are in old aged homes the facilities which we require sans here in resultant there in we even anxiously wish to see our children’s but they don’t have the feelings that they throw us in old aged homes. They get happy by this foolish act but they forget they too have their own children’s so in the days to come they too get married and if their sons too deserted them, then they came to know about the repercussions of the same, an inmate of old age home Ambphalla said.
