The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken decisive action against two police personnel, Inspector Ameet Kumar Koul and Head Constable Rajinder Kumar Sharma, following allegations of possessing disproportionate assets. FIR No. 01/2024 has been lodged under Section 13(1) (b) of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 at the PS Central Branch of ACB Jammu against Inspector Ameet Kumar Koul. This action comes in response to the findings of a Secret Verification, which uncovered suspicions regarding the accumulation of assets beyond the officer’s known sources of income.
Additionally, FIR No. 02/2024, under Section 13(1)(b) read with 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, has been filed at PS ACB Jammu against Head Constable Rajinder Kumar Sharma. This follows an inquiry into allegations of disproportionate assets amassed by the said official.
Conducting thorough investigations, the ACB has executed searches at the residential premises of both individuals and the business establishments belonging to Head Constable Rajinder Kumar Sharma. These searches yielded incriminating documents and valuables, which have been seized for further scrutiny as part of the ongoing investigation process.
