The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of Jammu Mukesh Singh accompanied by DIG DKR Range Dr. Sunil Gupta and SSP Kishtwar Khalil Poswal undertook a significant visit to Machail to review and strengthen security measures in connection with the ongoing Machail Yatra-2023. During the visit SSP Kishtwar gave a detailed presentation about deployment of CAPF, JKP,JKAP, SDRF/Rescue Teams all along the route from Thatri Up To Machail, langers, lodgement centres and Machail Bhawan.
The presentation highlighted the meticulous planning and strategic deployment of forces to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the pilgrimage. Key areas covered in the presentation included crowd management, traffic control, medical facilities, communication systems, intelligence monitoring and relief rescue plans. Thereafter the ADGP Jammu also interacted with the Police/civil administration, religious leaders, and volunteers to collaborate and coordinate efforts for a successful and incident-free Yatra. Additionally, he urged all stakeholders, including the pilgrims, to cooperate with the security personnel and adhere to the guidelines issued for their safety. During the Media briefing ADGP assured that all arrangements are as per SOP and the yatries need to avoid travel after cut off timings and during night. ADGP also reassured the public that every possible measure has been taken to provide a secure and peaceful environment for the devotees participating in the pilgrimage. He urged everyone to cooperate and extend support to make the Machail Yatra-2023 a memorable and spiritually fulfilling experience.
