In a fervent display of patriotism and unity, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha presided over the grand celebration of the 75th Republic Day at MA Stadium this morning. Amidst a jubilant atmosphere, the Lt Governor unfurled the National Flag, marking the commencement of the UT-level function.
The ceremonial proceedings commenced with the Lt Governor inspecting the smart contingents participating in the Republic Day Parade, following which he graciously accepted the ceremonial salute, embodying the spirit of respect and honor for the nation.
The Republic Day Parade was a spectacle to behold, featuring contingents from various esteemed forces and organizations including the Army, BSF, CRPF, SSB, IRP (Women & Male), J&K Police, JKAP, UT Disaster Response Force, and many more. The vibrant display of patriotism extended to school contingents, NCC cadets, Bharat Scouts, and Guides, along with the melodious tunes of Brass & Pipe Bands from various entities.
Highlights of the celebrations included thematic tableaux by different departments, showcasing initiatives such as Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Aajevika se Aatmanirbharta, Har Ghar Nal Se Jal, and Vimalam Gramam- Swachhata aur Vikas ka Sankalp, reflecting the commitment towards progress and development.
Adding an extra flair to the festivities, daredevil displays including acrobatics on motorcycles by JKP dare-devils, gymnastics, and mesmerizing dance performances reverberated the rich history and heritage of Jammu & Kashmir, reinforcing the ethos of unity in diversity and national integration.
Prior to the celebrations, paying homage to the valorous martyrs, the Lieutenant Governor laid wreaths at the Police Martyrs Memorial and Balidan Stambh, honoring the supreme sacrifice made by the brave hearts of the Police, Army, and CAPFs.
