Police department has no role, written test conducted by the JKSSB: J&K Police Chief Dilbagh Singh. Those who failed in Account Assistant exam secured 100+ marks in SIs’ tests: says aspirant

With the list of at least 20 siblings figuring with almost similar marks obtained in recently declared results for post of Sub Inspectors of the Jammu and Kashmir Police by the JKSSB recently. A sea of the aspirants has expressed doubts. Taking aspirants cry seriously politicians from Jammu and Kashmir have jumped into the arena, creating troubles for the J&K government.
The results are seen like a recruited scandals reported in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan etc in recent past. Former J&K Chief Minister and PDP Chief, Mehbooba Mufti today said, “Questions of fairness loom over JK Police SI Exam conducted by JKSSB.” “Students have levelled serious allegations of fraud which must be looked into immediately. This at a time when unemployment in J&K is at a staggering 46%”, she said.
“We demand a CBI Probe into this alleged Sub Inspector Recruitment Scam to find out the truth of the matter. Recruitment agencies in J&K have always been dens of Corruption and Nepotism in J&K. JKSSB should immediately issue a detailed statement on the issue”, tweeted Ankur Sharma, IkkJutt Jammu Party Chief.
“A retired person of paramilitary forces is one of the major touts whose name surfaced in the investigation in providing the question paper 24 hours prior to the scheduled exam. Ranging between 100 to 200 candidates of Khour to Akhnoor have attained more than 100 marks and more than 20 siblings have attained more than 100 marks. The aspirants alleged that some officials of the JKSSB have wreaked the biggest fraud but it should be enquired by CBI as it is much serious in nature. The mobile number of all those candidates who got more than 100 marks especially belonging from Khour to Akhnoor be investigated and mobiles of selected siblings must be investigated”, Jammu Jottings, an English Daily newspaper of Jammu reported in Wednesday’s edition.
Moreover, the he Director General of J&K Police Dilbagh Singh has said, “Police department has no role in this written test of JKP Sub Inspector. The written has been conducted by the JKSSB.”
Earlier, the aspirants had fought a long battle to get age relaxation, after a long agitation by the aspirant, the LG Administration granted onetime age relaxation. It is pertinent to mention here that the JKSSB had conducted written test for 1200 posts of Sub Inspector in JKP, while 97000 aspirants have applied.
“Some candidate who got more 120 marks in this exam, have miserably failed in the exam conducted by the JKSSB for the Account Assistant. Though almost similar questions were asked in the exam of SI”, said an aspirant appeared in both exam and secured 100+ marks. Now the government should immediately take action into this miss creating trouble for LG Administration, the aspirant said. A lists of 20 sibling who secured all similar marks in the written conducted by the JKSSB for SIs’ post has been taking round on social media and has become bone of contention.
