Special Sale of Trout and Carp Fish in Jammu for Mahashivratri

As the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri approaches on 8th March 2024, the Department of Fisheries J&K Jammu has announced a special sale of Trout and Carp Fish across various locations in the Jammu Division. This initiative aims to provide residents with high-quality fish for their festive celebrations while also catering to the specific needs of migrant camps and local communities.

The sale will commence on 6th March 2024, after 12 noon, and continue through 7th March 2024 at all existing Fish Farms and Narwal Fish Market of the Department in the Jammu Division. Additionally, departmental mobile vehicles will be deployed on these dates to ensure convenient access to fish for all residents.

Special arrangements have been made to make Trout and Carp Fish available at Migrant Camps/Fish Farms, catering to areas such as Jagti, Purkhoo, Buta Nagar/Muthi, Talab Tillo/Anand Nagar, Bohri/Udheywala, TRT Nagrota/Sidhra, Durga Nagar/Janipur, Subash Nagar, Gangyal/Central University Area, Fish Farm Doomi Akhnoor, and Fish Farm Ghoumanasan.

For those interested in purchasing Trout Fish from Narwal Fish Market, advance booking is required. The advance booking will be open until 12 noon on 4th March 2024. Customers can make advance bookings by contacting the provided phone numbers: 94191-42180 and 94191-31917.

Trout Fish will be available at the Narwal Fish Market at a rate of Rs. 500/kg, while Carp Fish will be priced at Rs. 200/kg. These rates offer customers an affordable opportunity to procure fresh and high-quality fish for their Mahashivratri celebrations.

To facilitate a smooth shopping experience and provide assistance to customers, various contact numbers have been provided. Residents can reach out to the Directorate of Fisheries, Jammu, Assistant Directors, Project Officers, and Fisheries Development Assistants for any inquiries or assistance related to the special sale. The Department of Fisheries J&K Jammu is committed to ensuring the availability of fresh and hygienic fish to residents during festive occasions. By organizing this special sale for Mahashivratri, the department aims to contribute to the joy and celebrations of the community while promoting the consumption of healthy and nutritious seafood. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to purchase Trout and Carp Fish for their Mahashivratri festivities and enjoy delicious meals with their loved ones.
