The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final result of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2023. Based on the written exam held from November 26 to December 3, 2023, and the personality test interviews conducted between April 22 and May 1, 2024, the UPSC has recommended a total of 147 candidates across different categories for appointment to the IFS.

The list of recommended candidates has been released in order of merit. Appointments will be made by the government as per the number of available vacancies, subject to the candidates meeting all prescribed eligibility conditions and successful verification.
Candidates can obtain any information or clarification regarding their examination and recruitment process at the UPSC’s Facilitation Counter near the Examination Hall Building on working days between 10 AM and 5 PM, or by calling 011-23385271/23381125. The final result is also available on the UPSC website (www.upsc.gov.in).
The UPSC has stated that the marks of individual candidates will be made available on its website within 15 days from the date of declaration of the result.
The Indian Forest Service is an elite all-India service that plays a crucial role in the management of forests, wildlife conservation, and environmental protection across the country. Recruitment to the IFS is conducted annually through a rigorous examination process conducted by the UPSC.
