Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal launched a blistering attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He predicted that if the BJP is re-elected, it will remove Yogi Adityanath as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh within two months.
Addressing a press conference a day after securing interim bail from Tihar Jail, Kejriwal said, “Politics of LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, former BJP chief ministers like Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Vasundhara Raje, ML Khattar, and Raman Singh have been finished. The next is Yogi Adityanath.”
The AAP convenor alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is paving the way for Home Minister Amit Shah to become the next Prime Minister, as Modi will retire next year after turning 75. Kejriwal claimed the BJP is sidelining its veteran leaders and warned opposition leaders, including MK Stalin and Mamata Banerjee, that they could be jailed if the BJP-led NDA returns to power.
“They will send opposition leaders to jail and finish them off… If they win again, then Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, Tejashwi Yadav, Pinarayi Vijayan, Uddhav Thackeray, and other opposition leaders will all be in jail,” Kejriwal cautioned.
Criticizing the BJP’s alleged policy of inducting “thieves and dacoits” into the party, Kejriwal stated, “You include all thieves in your party and send Kejriwal to jail; this is not a fight against corruption.”
