Vijay Suri’s entry into AAP was a last nail in the coffin of NC in Kalakote constituency now (post delimitation) Kalakote-Sunderbani constituency. Vijay Suri also commonly known as Pola Shah in Kalakote, has been NC block president for a long time. He contested local body polls from ward no.6 of MC Kalakote and defeated BJP’s candidate with heavy margin. Even not a single candidate of BJP won Local Bodies Polls from MC Kalakote. “He was will to contest assembly elections on NC’s ticket, but party is considering some one else as its candidate”, sources filmier with the development told The Hidden News and added since Suri was a mass leader so he preferred to shift his political allegiance from National Conference ( a regional party of J&K) to national party AAP after its land sliding victory in assembly polls of Punjab, where AAP de-seated Congress Party. It has been learnt, some APP leaders from Jammu, are also exploring other option. “Yesterday, when Suri along with Naresh Chadda from Sunderbani were joining AAP at New Delhi, Omprakash Khajuria a senior leader of APP was holding a meeting with APP workers at Sunderbani”, sources said, adding that caste politics plays a major role, so same is going to happen in Sundebani-Kalakote constituency. “This constituency post delimitation has majority of Brahmin votes here, so it is not possible for a non-brahmin candidate to grab ticket of any big political party, when NC is considering to field a brahmin candidate from here when ever the assembly elections are held”, sources said.
