ADGP Jammu Reviews Security, Election Preparedness in District Poonch

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, conducted a comprehensive review of the security apparatus, crime situation, and election preparedness in District Poonch. This assessment aimed to ensure readiness for the forthcoming elections and address potential challenges effectively.

During the visit, ADGP Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, engaged in discussions with relevant authorities to strategize and enhance security measures in the district. These discussions focused on analyzing terrorist movements, identifying vulnerable areas, and devising action plans to mitigate risks effectively.

Expressing satisfaction with the existing security infrastructure, ADGP Jammu emphasized the importance of proactive measures to uphold law and order, particularly in the lead-up to the upcoming elections. He stressed the need for continuous vigilance, community involvement, and the utilization of technological advancements to counter potential threats effectively.

In addition to assessing security and crime-related matters, ADGP also examined the election preparedness measures implemented by the district administration. This included evaluating the deployment of security personnel, logistical arrangements, and other crucial aspects essential for the smooth conduct of the electoral process.

A detailed presentation on the security situation and election preparedness was provided by SSP Poonch, Yougal Manhas. Subsequently, ADGP Jammu Zone, accompanied by other officers, visited the police post-Behramgalla to interact with the personnel stationed there, reinforcing the importance of their role in maintaining peace and security.The review conducted by ADGP Jammu Zone underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and security of citizens during the electoral process. Through proactive measures and collaborative efforts, the authorities aim to address potential challenges and uphold the integrity of the democratic process in District Poonch.
