Additional Director General Police (ADGP) Jammu Mukesh Singh informed kingpin in T S Wazir murder case including five gangsters, who were involved in a robbery at the house of Rajesh Aggarwal have been arrested and cash Rs 5 lacs was recovered.
This was stated by the ADGP during a Press Conference at Jammu flanked by DIG Jammu Kathua range Vivek Gupta and SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli. Taking serious note of the news items aired by some news portals and media channels in regards to the robbery at Aggarwal house wherein questions are being raised over the working and functioning of Jammu police, ADGP Mukesh Singh said he is thankful for those media channels rather reiterated we achieved a major breakthrough in this infamous robbery case which has hit the headlines.
The ADGP Mukesh Singh categorically stated that fifteen teams from Jammu in the last five days carried out hectic investigations day and night he said adding, sixteen teams were sent outside Jammu in Punjab, Patiala, Daawa, Jalandhar in order to arrest the accused persons. Teams headed by SSP Jammu, SP South, DySP South, DySP West, and every SHOs of South visited these areas for the purpose of arresting the gangsters.
“Mastermind, in this case, is Amit Rana and he is being arrested” ADGP Jammu vehemently stated adding, Harjinder Singh alias Rinku, Manjit Singh alias Fuji and supporting role of Amit Raja Singh of Daawa in so far as Pintu he is picked up and he will get arrested”, he stated.
“The gangsters, dressed up in Police uniforms when the robbed the house of businessmen were arrested with Rs 5 lakh cash, as they impersonated themselves as cyber-crime police officials”, he said.
ADGP Jammu said that conman is Amit Rana who is also the mastermind in the killing of Trilochan Singh Wazir as such it’s a big achievement. “Jammu Police being hailed the way they arrested the conman Amit Rana rather Amit Rana fired upon the police but police, in turn, caught hold of him which is really a daring act of Jammu police,” he informed. ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh divulged that Jammu police is very much alert and will foil the nefarious designs of the miscreants as such Jammuities do not need to worry. Investigation in the instant case is at infancy stage. We can get further leads as the investigation proceed, he maintained.
