Indian Army have lost two braveheart, an Officer and a JCO in an tragic accidental grenade Blast in Mendhar sector of Poonch district.
“On night of 17 Jul 2022, an accidental Grenade blast occurred in the Mendhar Sector, District Poonch when troops were performing their duties along the Line of Control”, a defence PRO said.
“The blast resulted in injuries to soldiers who were immediately evacuated by helicopter to Udhampur”, he further said and added that during the treatment Capt Anand and Nb Sub Bhagwan Singh succumbed to their injuries.

During the treatment, Capt Anand and Nb Sub Bhagwan Singh succumbed to their injuries. Capt Anand belongs to KN Jha Lane, PO – Champa Nagar, District – Bhagalpur(Bihar) and Nb Sub Bhagwan Singh belongs to Village- Pokhar Bhitta, District- Ambedkar Nagar(UP).
