An MBBS student from Jammu was found hanging in his rented accommodation in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district this morning.
Mayank Bharti (22) son of late Cap. Kuldeep Bharti, who was pursuing his MBBS from Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla, was found hanging in his rented accommodation in Fethipora.
His father Cap. Kuldeep Bharti was killed in a road accident in 2012. “I have decided to leave and I have taken this decision consciously. I have not taken this step under any influence or pressure. I’m alone responsible”, said a Police officer, quoting his suicide note which was recovered from his room this morning, adding that he also mentioned the time 4:17am in the suicide note.
“He committed suicide this morning. His suicide note and social media posts (Instagram) signal that he was in depression and the same feedback we received from his fellow students”, the Police Officer said. “His family members have reached here to take the body”, he added. Mayank’s father Caption (Dr.) Kuldeep Bharti was killed in a road accident long back, his mother had also died long, back now his stepmother was taking care of Mayank.
