In a bid to promote national integration and cultural awareness among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police for Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range, Shridhar Patil, flagged off the Bharat Darshan tour today. The ceremony, held at Officer Mess Gulshan Ground in Jammu, marked the commencement of an enriching journey for 55 students accompanied by two caretakers.

The event was graced by the presence of senior police officials including the Superintendent of Police (SP) Headquarters Jammu, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy.SP) DAR Jammu, and other dignitaries.

The Bharat Darshan Tour, organized as part of the Civic Action Programme of the J&K Police, aims to instill a sense of national pride, cultural understanding, and unity among the youth. The participating students, hailing from various schools across the Kishtwar district, will embark on a captivating voyage to explore the rich heritage, historical landmarks, and natural wonders of India.

During the meticulously planned tour, the students will immerse themselves in the vibrant cultures of different regions and engage in interactive sessions focused on promoting patriotism and social harmony. This initiative not only facilitates experiential learning but also cultivates a sense of responsibility and respect for the country’s diverse heritage and values.

In his inaugural address, DIG Shridhar Patil expressed his delight in flagging off this significant initiative and underscored the importance of educational tours in shaping the holistic development of the youth. He applauded the efforts of the organizers in making arrangements for the tour, including boarding, lodging, and air tickets, which were coordinated by the Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) in Jammu under the supervision of the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for the Jammu Zone.

The Bharat Darshan Tour promises to be a transformative experience for the participating students, fostering a deeper appreciation for the cultural tapestry and unity that define India. Such initiatives by the J&K Police reflect their commitment to nurturing responsible and well-rounded citizens who contribute positively to society.
