Annoyed over failure of authorities to bring the perpetrators of Dhangri terrorist attack in which seven innocent persons including children lost their lives, the victim families today blocked Jammu-Poonch road and burnt tyres.
More, than six months had gone since the occurrence of tragic terrorist attack, but those responsible for attack, yet to be brought to justice. The protestors blocked the National Highway at Muradpur Rajouri and also burnt the tyres to show their resentment against the government. One of the protester said, “What is the mistake of the Dhangri victims had made, that they have to bear the brunt for no fault of theirs. Another protestor at the protesting site, taking a dig against the government said, “Police Chief made a statement that 80% of the case has been solved and rest of the case would be solved within shortest possible time but till date nothing concrete has been done so far”, he lamented amidst chanting of slogans against the district administration Hai-Hai which rented the air.
Protestors divulge that in Rajouri district scenario prevailing as what was in Kashmir during 1990 he said adding, district administration Rajouri responsible for the same and they are creating the same environment like Kashmir in Rajouri. Anger brewing amongst the protestors as they launched the blistering attack on government. “Police officers failure resultant there in not achieved breakthrough in the Terror attack and those delinquent and tainted Police officers who are responsible for the laxity against them government should take action”, protestors maintained.
On 1st January 2023 Dhangri terrorist attack took place and on 2nd January IED had been exploded, one of the protestors Harish Bharti said while taking a jibe against the government said adding, it’s total security failure we can say. Even what is more shocking is that when central Minister was on an official visit to Rajouri victims of Dhangri denied permission to meet him. They just have to apprise the Minister about the terror attack”he vehemently told the media persons during the protest.
Elaborating further, he said that there is dire need to make reshuffle of the officers in the Rajouri district. He said we urged the central government to do the Justice with the Dhangri victims at the earliest before it’s too late. Sooner the Government acts the better it would be given the simmering discontent amongst the Dhangri victims. On being asked by the Media you also having affiliation with the ruling party, he said injustice being meted out to these gullible Dhangri victims this is totally reprehensible. Even there is presence of terror module but the government done the troops mobilization which is a good step. Whether it’s over ground workers ( OGWs) Under groud workers ( UGWs) they too also be held responsible same way the others are responsible for carrying out the disaster terror attack “he added. To a query whether Locals involvement was there in this terror incident, he lamented that without the logistic support of the locals terror attack of any angle can’t be done.
