Notwithstanding the hue and cry made by the aggrieved and dejected parents of the students that their children’s being made to carry heavy school bags on their back which made them to face hardships viz suffering from back pain. In pursuance to such furore created by the parents the school education department awaken from the deep slumber and issued an order where by the School. education department directed the Private Schools to comply with the School bags guidelines with in letter and spirit failing which the department will Constrained to take coercive measures against the even warned of derecognition of the schools. This order of the School Education hailed by the parents that after all department chosen to pass an order whose dire need is there.
Students who have to walk bare footed to their schools while carrying the satchels they can apprised as how much precarious situation for them that too in this sweltering heat when sweating make their wet and it would be really irksome for them. As there is a popular saying “Cobbler knows where the shoes pinches” same here applies to the situation of these gullible students that they know how much difficult for them to carry the school bags. It is pertinent to mention here in that School bags policy 2020 clearly mentioned about the weight of the respective school bags which these students have to carry in their respective classes.
Now, the moot question arisen for the sympathetic consideration whether School education department duty was to only pass an order with respect to the school bags. Who will ensure its compliance in its letter and spirit? If the Government have to pass an order only but later there is no compliance of it. Then the very purpose of passing such an order rendered infructuous. More the delay taking place in complying with the order of School bags more questions are being raised. Better we would say School education department came under severe criticism from the different quarters. Parents fumed over the non serious attitude of the department that the school education department given free hand to these private schools to work at their own whims and fancies and least bothered to comply with the directive of the Department which they said is quite bizzare and astonishing. Where shall we complaint, Parents asked and express their anger that till how much time their children’s have to carry heavy school bags as they are writhing in pain. With no action by any executing authorities students continue to face pain and they could not able to concentrate on their studies.
“When the order was passed then after few days inspection teams made visit to the private schools in order to checked whether the private schools complied with the order or not but the private schools administration directed the students to told blatant lie in respect of these school bags Policy” Parents lamented. Whether only once the inspection teams have to checked the private schools over the implementation of school bags policy. This is a million dollar which begs answer?
With New Director School Education department taken over the reign of this important post so the Director should take note of this poor implementation of the school education department order on school bags policy.
Sooner the Director takes action the better it would be. The inspection teams needs to be activated with a directions to checked the school bags policy be implemented in its letter and spirit. Even Weighing machines needs to keep in the schools to checked the weight of the school bags of the students under the supervision of inspection teams.Unless and untill stringent action not be taken implementation of school bags policy will be a distant dream. Those private schools found violating the School education department order on school bags policy with impunity their recognition will be removed at the outset so that deterrence message goes in the society.
