LG Administration should conduct probe into the misappropriation of crores of rupees in the construction of Jugal Kullian road in Mendhar Division of PW (R&B) Department, in Poonch district

The former Vice Chancellor and Chairman JKBADC, Dr Shehzad Ahmed seeks high level probe into the alleged swindling of crores of rupees by the Junior Engineer and Assistant Executive Engineer, Mendhar in connivance with the contractor concerned in the construction of Jugal-Kullian road.
Former VC Dr Shehzad Ahmed in video statement issued to media, stated, “I want to draw the attention of the media regarding the construction of road Jugal Kullian where in government officials of the rank of JE as well as AEE Mendhar indulged into misappropriation of funds to the crores of rupees which had been allotted for the construction of the road. “The above said officials who were working under this project for the construction of the road are wholly and solely responsible for causing and incurring losses to the crores of rupees to the treasury of the government”, the former VC said, seeking action against such delinquent officials.
He vehemently said that under the garb of blacktopping funds being diverted for the purpose of Drains, Nallah besides them all specifications made altered. “Whatever specifications in the tender they were flouted with impunity”, he claimed in the video and added, “This all happened due to the Connivance of the JE and AEE Mendhar with the concerned contractor. Prior also six months back Rs 44 lacs being taken out under the guise of blacktopping and prior to that scam of crores of rupees was surfaced where stones were brought, lanes and drains being dug up. But we never raked up those Contentious issue”, he further added.
Constrained to bring to your notice, that they have crossed red line as whatever amount sanctioned under the garb of blacktopping being misappropriated. Jugal Kullian road money which was sanctioned is swindled and amount of it is used for other road purposes which is quite intriguing, Former VC Dr Shehzad Ahmed lamented. We lodged a complaint before his Excellency LG and request him to send Team to check into this Illegalities which occurred in the utilization of funds for this Jugal Kullian road. Also we moved a complaint before the ACB. “Due to alleged connivance of the government officers crores of rupees go down the drain. We demanded inquiry into this blunder so that the real truth came to fore. About this Jugal Kullian road which is thronged by thousands of people and this area infested with Militancy prior. We urge the Government of india also to inquire into this bungling and make the probe public so that erring and delinquent officers head likely to roll”, he added.
