In response to a question by MLA Arjun Singh Raju regarding the condition and upgradation plans for Nashri-Sanasar Road, Neera-Ganote Road, and Rajgarh-Kastigarh Road, the government informed the Assembly about ongoing and completed works on these routes.
The government acknowledged that the Nashri-Sanasar Road, an alternate route to Sanasar, is in a dilapidated condition. It stated that the Nashri-Sanasar section has been connected via the Champa-Dhaino road from the National Highway at Nashri Tunnel, constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), and was completed in December 2022.
However, due to the region being prone to landslides, especially during the monsoon season, several sliding zones have developed along the road. To address this, the Public Works Department (PWD) has undertaken permanent restoration work, including the construction of crate walls and 11 cross-drainage (CD) structures, at an estimated cost of ₹36.91 lakh. This work is currently in progress and is expected to be completed by the end of March 2025. Further restoration work will be carried out as required.
Regarding the Mehar-Neera-Ganote Road, the government stated that it was sanctioned under the PMGSY program and was completed on October 31, 2020. The road is currently under a five-year defect liability period, and there are no plans for its upgradation at present.
Similarly, the 14.475 km-long BB Rajgarh to Shamti Road, sanctioned under PMGSY, was completed in October 2022 and is also under a five-year defect liability period. As of now, there are no plans for its upgradation. The government assured that necessary maintenance and restoration work would be carried out as needed for these roads.
