In a major breakthrough, the Jammu Police have arrested a notorious absconder, Sadeeque Ali, who was involved in a heinous triple murder case and subsequent drug trafficking offenses.
Ali, who had jumped bail and was evading arrest, was apprehended by a team from Police Station Arnia in Punjab on April 7, 2024. The accused, Sadeeque Ali, was a prime suspect in case FIR No. 77/2021 registered at Police Station Arnia, which involved the infamous triple murder case. During the investigation, his involvement in drug trafficking also came to light, leading to the registration of FIR No. 79/2021.
According to official sources, Ali was initially granted interim bail by the Court of the Learned 1st Additional Sessions Judge in Jammu. However, he violated the bail conditions and absconded, prompting the court to cancel his interim bail and issue non-bailable warrants against him.
Despite multiple attempts by the Jammu Police to apprehend Ali, he managed to evade arrest by going underground. However, through meticulous investigation, including the use of human intelligence and electronic surveillance, the police received a tip-off that Ali was hiding in Punjab. Acting swiftly on the information, a special team was constituted from Police Station Arnia, led by PSI Ilyas Ahmed, under the close supervision of the Station House Officer (SHO) of Arnia, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of R.S. Pura, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Headquarters Jammu, and the overall supervision of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu.
After a carefully planned operation, the team successfully apprehended Sadeeque Ali in Punjab on April 8, 2024, bringing an end to his evasion from the law. The arrest of Sadeeque Ali is a significant achievement for the Jammu Police, as he was a high-profile absconder involved in serious crimes, including a triple murder and drug trafficking offenses. His apprehension sends a strong message that the law enforcement agencies remain committed to ensuring justice and upholding the rule of law, regardless of the challenges faced. Officials have stated that the accused will be produced before the concerned court, and the legal proceedings against him will resume.
