J&K: Vishwakarma Sabha constitutes Mahila wing

Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha J&K UT on Sunday constituted an ad-hoc committee of the Mahila wing of the Sabha. The Mahila wing was constituted during a meeting of the Sabha at its headquarters at Gurha Bakshi Nagar in the presence of senior members of the Sabha including Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha president Shashi Verma.

 Vandana Sagar, Sonia Verma, Neelam Verma, Madhu Chargotra, and Renu Bala are nominated as members of the ad-hoc committee of the Mahila wing of Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha. Shashi Kanta Verma and Neelam Salaria are nominated as members of the ad-hoc committee of the district Kathua wing of the Sabha. Leaders of the Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha said that the Mahila wing of the Sabha has been constituted to ensure the participation of womenfolk in the activities of the Sabha. They hoped that with the setting of an ad-hoc committee of the Sabha, the participation of women would be enhanced in the activities of the Sabha. Speakers emphasized the need of eradicating social evils like dowry, female feticide, drug addiction, etc. They said that women can play an important role in eradicating such evils. Speakers also stressed educating all sections of the society, especially women for the overall growth of the society and nation. The Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha also felicitated the newly elected vice president and general secretary of the Press Club of Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal and Dinesh Manhotra. The Sabha also honoured the chairman of the Health and Sanitation Committee of the Jammu Municipal Corporation Raj Kumar Tarkhan. The programme was Organised under the Presidentship of Shashi Verma, Vijay Kumar General Secretary PVS and all the unit president and there members were also present, stage was handled by Jagdish Raj.Other Prominent Personalities who Graced the occasion are Lakhpat Rai Chairman PVS Jammu, Rattan Lal Chargotra Vice Chairman PVS Jammu & Vice President Akhil Bhartiya Vishwakarma Maha Sabha, and Puran Chargotra Vice Chairman PVS Jammu. Others members Of PVS Jammu included Sham Chargotra, Raj Kumar Chalotra, Rakesh Chalotra, Jagdish Kalgotra, Charanjeet Chargotra, Joginder, Amarjeet Chargotra Advocate, Ashwani Angotra Advocate Vinod Jaral and many others members of Pardesh Vishwakarma Sabha attended the said meeting.
