The National Conference (NC) has levelled serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of conspiring to weaken the NC by creating proxy outfits as its “A, B, and C teams” in Kashmir.

Addressing a meeting of the partys Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Cell, NC Additional General Secretary and Former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra lashed out at the BJP, stating that the saffron party is shaking hands with those responsible for the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley.

Sadhotra took a jibe at the BJP for not fielding its own candidates in the ongoing Parliamentary elections in Jammu and Kashmir, instead standing behind “rejected entities and those responsible for the morass in the Valley.”

He accused the BJP of double standards and pseudo-nationalism, alleging that its motivation behind supporting and creating proxies is to destabilize the Valley and promote a culture inimical to peace.

Sadhotra claimed that the BJP leadership’s falsehoods against the NC stem from their frustration over the impending defeat in the general elections. He expressed confidence in the INDIA bloc’s ability to inflict a significant defeat on the BJP across the country, strengthening secular forces. The former minister asserted that the BJP fears the NC’s widespread popularity and mass appeal, representing the aspirations of all segments of society across the regions and sub-regions of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sadhotra expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri Pandit community, reiterating the NC’s commitment to their safe and dignified return to the Valley. He accused the BJP of letting down the migrant community during its decade-long rule and indulging in a misinformation campaign against NC leaders.

The NC leader made a fervent appeal to Kashmiri Pandit voters to support the party’s candidates, Omar Abdullah from Baramulla and Mian Altaf Ahmed from Anantnag, stating that their votes would be crucial in defeating the BJP’s alleged conspiracy to weaken the NC in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was attended by several senior NC leaders, including Ram Paul, Sheikh Bashir Ahmad, Mohd Ayoub Malik, Qazi Jalal Din, Ankush Abrol, Chander Mohan Sharma, Bimla Luthra, Laxmi Dutta, Bhupinder Kour, Ashwani Charak, Ch Mohd Aslam, and S Sandeep Singh.
