Slamming the Jammu Development Authority for initiating drive to destroy the shops of poor people in Bahu Fort area putting them in a state of uncertainty.
This was stated by Dr. Vikas Sharma Zonal Secretary and Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) JKNC during his visit to Bahu Fort today. Amongst others, Dr. Vikas was accompanied by B. D. Dalotra, Baldev Raj Nargotra, Manohar Lal, Romesh Chander, Bhadar Lal, Vishast, Gorav, Anurag Kumar and other.
He further said that already these poor people and shopkeepers have suffered tremendously during last Corona pandemic, when their business went greatly down to the lowest ebb and now JDA has created a great problem for them by damaging and destroying their shops, which is the only source of livelihood for their family being earned since decades. He pointed out that it is the well thought out conspiracy of the present UT Govt under the garb of JDA to torture the poor people but simultaneously UT Govt hesitates and have lacks of guts to lay hands on the big land mafia to launch encroachment drive to restore state land illegally encroached by them. Dr. Vikas warned the JK Government to desist from harassing poor people and the affected shopkeepers be given suitable compensation for the loss they have suffered at the hands of Jammu Development Authority.
