Rahul Gandhi, who is on his two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir today stressed upon the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and initiation of the democratic process as soon as possible.
He said that a bit of Kashmiriyat also flows in his veins as his ancestors have lived in Kashmir as well. While addressing the people he said that the Congress party tried to solve the issue of Kashmir in different ways with love, respect, understanding, and engagement, but all the efforts made by Congress is smashed by BJP. By taking the people in confidence, he said that congress knows that the people of Jammu and Kashmir is hurt and it will work tirelessly to restore the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir.
