Jambu lochan Community Hall Ustad Mohalla razed to ground by JMC Authorities, FIR stands registered, Works stopped; inquiry report will be made public within 2-3 days: Corporator Suneet Raina

The Inhabitants of Mohalla Ustad and adjoining areas minced no words in condemning the arbitrary move of the government in demolition of Jambu lochan community hall coupled with Peepal trees on this land. Locals raised a banner of revolt against the concerned authorities that without taking them into confidence they have demolished the community hall which they said is totally unwarranted, uncalled action of the government.
This community hall was decades old and this hall being used for different purposes be it for marriages and on occasion of deaths also” Irate inhabitants of the Mohalla Ustad rued adding, the name of the hall was Jambu lochan kept on the name of one Raja Jambu lochan and this community hall was of prime importance for this Mohalla Ustad as here in people of both Hindus and Muslims without any hiccups used it.
“This land on which Jambu lochan hall and Nagrota park is of Ustad Mohalla and then Jammu Municipal corporation (JMC) told us that we would give you community hall etc so that you can made use of it for marriage and also for death but true fact is that land is of Baba shahenshah wali”, aggrieved and dejected, Sunil Kumar rued while taking dig against the authorities that without taking them on board authorities resorted to such demolition drive which is condemnable.
“We don’t sit quite, come what may as the authorities hurt our religious sentiments as decades old Peepal trees being cut in violation of norms” Irked Sunil Kumar lamented while turning tables that whenever anyone died of our community for one year deceased Family members watered these plants and this practise going on since decades. But now, it is quite astonishing that government has cut these trees now from today where these people go to perform their religious rituals”, he maintained.
Training guns against the concerned Corporator of ward No 9 Ustad Mohalla for expressing his helplessness over this demolition of community hall and the cutting of trees, peeved Sunil Kumar talking to the News portal rued that when he taken up the matter with the Corporator he divulge that he feigned ignorance for what purpose demolition drive conducted which is really intriguing that Corporator also don’t know about this demolition drive? he asked.
He said that it has been learnt that government mulling to construct some multi-tier parking here in which we opposed it tooth and nail rather we demanded that Some park should be constructed for the betterment of the youth due to the present environment prevailing of drugs where in Youth fell prey to drugs as such we demand that the Park should be constructed, Angry Sunil Kumar rued.
Rajesh Kumar, a local, taking a pot shots against the government that what will they achieved by hurting the sentiments of our community he regretted adding, one Peepal tree used to give cool air of two ACs but such demolition drive is a brazen move of the government to harassed and bullied the gullible masses of the Ustad Mohalla where in people of every religion since decades living here peacefully even in turmoil and resurgence of turbulence. Without asking inhabitants they used the Peela Panja which is a dictatorship rule and not less than that where in people don’t know anything and came to know only when that incident happened”, he avers while upped the ante against the ruling government.
Echoing similar views, Another Local Altaf Launching a scathing attack on the government that without apprised the inhabitants of the Mohalla Ustad authorities demolished the Community hall and also old Peepal trees where in we used to sit under the shade of trees and our Hindus brethren performed their rituals but this action of the government we condemned it unequivocally in bold and clear cut terms. We opposed the construction of the Parking here in rather here park for the youth should be constructed for the well being of the Youngsters who are under the grip of drugs and their precious lives at stake.
“This land of Jambulochan hall is of Shrine Baba Shahenshah Wali as such the authorities JMC razed the community hall which they did it illegally and action should be taken against those delinquent officers whose connivance this demolition of the community hall as well as cutting of trees takes place”, Altaf rued talking to the News portal. Locals of the Ustad Mohalla and adjoining areas seething with anger against the demolition drive they rued that this government since the day taken over the reigns of power resorted to demolition drives resultant there in the gullible masses made to bear the brunt for no fault of theirs. What Necessitated the government to demolish the Community hall and Peepal trees which are the lungs of Ustad Mohalla being snatched away for their own vested interests? Perturbed inhabitants asked. One of the Advocate of HC too condemned the cutting of Peepal trees coupled with demolition of community hall . He seeks that an inquiry should be ordered in regard to such action by the government and officers who are involved in such nefarious designs they should be taken to task given the resentment amongst both the Hindus and the Muslims due to this act. The damages which caused on account of such demolition drive be compensated. Locals making a passionate and fervent appeal to the government that one Mango tree which has been left should not be touched at all. Talking to The Hidden News, Corporator of the ward no 9.Suneet Kumar Raina divulged that inquiry has been ordered into the cutting of trees where people used to offer prayers. Today I met SHO concerned and he told me that FIR stands already registered. Work has already been stopped “Corporator vehemently asserted.
On being asked that who has filed the complaint whether you have or the Inhabitants, Corporator said that he himself also filed the complaint and took the signatures of the inhabitants over the complaint rather two FIRs has been registered one on my complaint filed by me and other by the locals inhabitants”, he added.
To a question that whether Whole of the Jambu lochan community hall being demolished, Suneet Raina divulged that whole of the Community hall has been demolished and quick to add that it has been heard that demolition drive takes place but it is not at all”, he maintained.
Whether any action will be taken against those who have cut the trees, Corporator Suneet vociferously said that for the same purpose inquiry has been ordered at whose behest whether Officials, contractor Whosoever involved in the cutting of the trees and within two to three days it will came to fore as who will responsible for the same because trees were very old and holds importance”, he lamented.
When asked that drive has been conducted by the JMC, Suneet Raina said of course drive conducted by the JMC and as you know prior the Jambu lochan community hall was small meaning there by not cater to the huge strength. Now, the JMC in order to widened the Community hall with a motto of having the Project of Parking in sight they resorted to drive. Rather there are several divisions in the wards but in so far as ward no 9 is concerned this is First division”, he maintained. Corporator Suneet Raina reiterated once again that come what may but we will not sit silent to the cutting of trees and even we will fight for the same to the extent of hitting roads and seeks stern action against the tainted officials.
