What is my mistake? asked poor driver who faced wrath corrupt cops

Bringing bad name of entire Jammu Kashmir Police, some greedy cops during checking of vehicles in outskirt of Rajouri town this afternoon mercilessly beaten a truck driver, who reportedly refused to pay ‘entry’ a term used for legalised corruption by the district as well as the traffic police everywhere in J&K.

The truck driver, Mohd Riaz, a resident Mandi tehsil of Poonc district, taking to media after the incident when a large of number of truckers blocked Rajour-Poonch road, alleged that he was beaten to pulp on Rajouri National Highway without any reason. A video has gone viral on social media where in it is seen that driver wept bitterly alleging that he is being thrashed by the Rajouri police even when he possessed of all the documents. It has been heard in the video that driver vociferously saying tell me the reason of thrashing me when I don uniform along with name plate and wear shoes also. But why the Police mercilessly beaten me for none of my fault, driver rued. Even Scores of drivers also came in support of this aggrieved driver that Police without any genuine reason and cause beaten me adding, driver possess all mandatory documents also then why the challan been done.

“How can i paid the challan as I am poor men and work as a driver in order to feed my family adding, but the Police not bothered about the same and they challaned me which left me in a state of shock and even the driver also shown his legs where in Police laathicharge him resultant there in driver writhing in pain and reiterated time and again what is my mistake (mera kasoor kya hai” Which rented the air. As per reports Rajouri National Highway blocked for several hours which disrupted the traffic as the driver in question stationed his truck in the middle of the road against the Police brutality. Sensing gravity of the situation Police came on the spot and tried to pacify the protestors and shifted the truck on the side which restore the traffic.  Eyewitnesses revealed that Police is harassing the commoners in terms of charging money from them for entry adding, this has brews resentment amongst the driver’s association who run the vehicles on the Rajouri road.

However, Police cop from Police Station Rajouri sensing trouble after the incident, escaped from the spot to avoid public anger.
