In a deeply troubling development, three 9th-grade students have gone missing from Bishnah, Jammu, sparking widespread concern and prompting an urgent police appeal for public assistance.

The incident, which occurred on August 23, 2024, has sent shockwaves through the community and raised alarming questions about the safety of young people in the region.

The Bishnah Police of Jammu district have launched a desperate search for the three boys: Manish Kumar, son of Sohan Lal from Pindi Kudwal; Swain Salaria, son of Devendra Kumar from Kool Kalan, Arnia; and Garv Bhatti, son of Rakesh Kumar from Digana. All three 14-year-olds, students of Sanskriti School Bishnah, were last seen in their school uniforms (white shirts and blue pants) before their mysterious disappearance.

A police spokesperson has issued an urgent appeal to the public, requesting any information about the whereabouts of the missing teenagers. The sudden vanishing of these young students has left their families distraught and the local community on edge.

Adding to the growing unease, this incident comes on the heels of another disturbing case. The body of Mangal Singh, a cab driver who had been missing since August 19, was recovered today from the Sidhra area of Jammu. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the alleged perpetrators behind Singh’s death have been apprehended by police in Hisar, Haryana, though official confirmation is pending.

These incidents are part of a worrying trend in Jammu, where missing persons and suspected kidnapping cases have been on a sharp rise. The surge in such cases has created a climate of fear and uncertainty among residents, raising serious questions about law enforcement’s ability to ensure public safety.

Local authorities are facing mounting pressure to address this escalating crisis. As the search for the three missing students continues, the community remains on high alert, with many calling for increased security measures and swifter action in missing persons cases. This series of events has cast a dark shadow over Jammu, highlighting the urgent need for enhanced safety protocols and more robust investigative measures.

As families anxiously await news of their loved ones, the incidents serve as a grim reminder of the vulnerabilities that persist in the region, challenging law enforcement to step up their efforts in safeguarding the community.
